Risqué Brownies (formerly Slutty Brownies)

Gimme a little sugar...😘

Happy Valentine’s day! I know it’s common to hate Valentine’s day, but I’m a firm believer that everything can be viewed in a more positive light, so that’s what I’m here to do. Yes, it’s a Hallmark holiday used to promote sales and get you to spend money (*wink*wink* check out www.cbdoughcookies.com if you’re in the mood to spend some V day cash!) but it’s also a great reminder to tell the people you love that you, well, do. Let’s be real, with everything going on now I can barely remember to drink water, let alone remind all of the people I love that I do in fact, really, truly love them. It probably doesn’t help that I’m a cold and unloving human all other 364 days a year, but what can you do?

In honor of this fabulous holiday, I decided to dig back into my high school sports managing days and recreate a recipe that was always a huge hit. The original name for this recipe, “Slutty Brownies”, was something my millennial teen self thought was “cool and badass.”

However, my millennial 30 year old self is not a fan of the word ‘slut’ (when is it not used as a derogatory term towards women who love sex?) and therefore, I have decided to rename them “Risque Brownies.” It’s Valentine’s day, let’s drink some wine, get a little risque, eat some decadent CBD brownies and all love sex together! Or something less free love and 70’s… Enjoy!

Makes 6 brownies, 60mg of CBD per brownie

Ingredients:

1 12 oz. Bag of C.B. Dough The Brownie mix (plus eggs, butter and water needed to make)

1 12 oz. Bag of C.B. Dough The Blondie mix (plus eggs and butter needed to make)

12 sandwich cookies (like Oreos), broken into small pieces

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F and lightly grease an 8” x 8” pan.

  2. Make The Brownie and The Blondie mixes according to package directions in separate bowls.

  3. Pour Brownie batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.

  4. Spread Blondie batter on top of Brownie mix. Try to keep batter fairly level and even across the top.

  5. Sprinkle crushed sandwich cookie pieces on top and place in preheated oven.

  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Edges may be brown, that’s okay!

  7. Remove Risque Brownies to a cooling rack and cool at least 1 hour (best overnight) before serving.
